Inspiration to appear on wall card: This painting was created after I received this bouquet of stunning dahlias from a friend. I painted this with a loose style using both brush and palette knife. The result was this expression of joy.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: The sudden death of our 5 week old granddaughter was such a horrible shock!! She was our Covid baby... as our son's vasectomy, scheduled for March 2020 was cancelled, they were expecting their 4th child the following summer, on my birthday! They hadn't planned more children but this little miracle girl was so welcomed and loved...She was quiet, happy, perfect, and so loved by her sister and brothers... One day she didn't wake up from her nap. The inspiration for this painting came when I heard this song at her funeral, Fire and Rain by James Taylor. The fire and rain above the family, represents our emotions as we walk through the valley.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: The tree that this was made from was found on the beach of Cortez Island by a friend of mine. It is probably years old and may have drifted in from the ocean.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: Queen ElizaBoots was a feline family member who thrived in both country and city scapes, bringing home Stellar's jays, quails, and hummingbirds, most often alive. She also kept a pet bunny, from time to time. Social and adaptable, she had many friends in the neighbourhood, sometimes linked to the proximity of the catnip supply. She had an autonomous spirit and, once she chose her pack, she formed strong bonds with all the members --Reiner (a Malamute), Ariat (an Akita/Chow), and two two-legged creatures (my husband and I). An explorer by nature, she accompanied us on local hikes and away-from-home trips. Queen ElizaBoots was the coolest of cats.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: This imaginary forest path is how I visualize Psalm 119, as a person walks toward the light from a dark place, maybe just in their mind, the Light is Truth, Safety and Peace of Mind.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: I am trying to understand the forms of the waves and the sculpting effects of the water on the sand. In this piece, I was also experimenting with intense colour to see how it will affect the sense of movement. Lately, I have really been enjoying working larger as well. I am enjoying the increased sense of drama that the larger size creates.
