Inspiration to appear on wall card: On a hike near Witty"s Lagoon, I was looking forward to the opening on the trail at a high view point. I was rewarded with this extravagant scene. The placid beach and reflective water, crowned with a string of popcorn clouds, all in a setting of vibrant shoreline grasses and shrubbery. How could I not paint it?

Inspiration to appear on wall card: The power and beauty of nature are often my greatest inspiration, which is why I love being out in storms. Late this fall, during an especially intense storm, the scene was both breathtaking and unsettling— a vivid display of nature’s raw power that stirred a deep emotional response. I was captivated by the sight of the ocean, which seemed alive, wild, and unpredictable. I felt drawn to it, wanting to step into its chaos and be surrounded by it. It was in that moment that the idea for this stormy seascape began to take shape.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: While I was painting this, I had two visiting artists painting with me in my studio. We were talking and working at the same time. I felt that I was in a very unconscious state of mind, a very spontaneous mood, just laying in colour with abandon. It wasn't until the next day that I decided to see what the cosmos was doing on that particular day. I discovered that Venus was transiting into the constellation of Pisces. This is my version of how I think that might look like.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: We know a lot of stories from the lives of mythological heroes and most of them appear to us as adults. I decided to think and imagine how these heroes would look in their childhood. And one of my chosen heroes is Demeter. Demeter is the goddess of fertility and harvest.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: In my artistic journey, I've crafted a poignant ensemble of six distinct abstract paintings, each inspired by a narrative shared with me by a friend. Sadly, it's a tale not uncommon—where one grapples with a sense of not belonging, feeling drained of purpose, engulfed in emptiness, sadness, and the desire to escape through self-inflicted pain.

Inspiration to appear on wall card: I was intrigued to try hand and beaded embroidery on silk fusion fabric. I outlined the tree, filled it with beads, then added some accent flowers and leaves. A few beaded birds complete the piece. It’s a first foray into hand embroidery!

Inspiration to appear on wall card: The inspiration for this painting came from the calm that follows a fierce storm. After witnessing nature’s raw power, I was struck by the peaceful stillness that settled over the landscape once the storm had passed. The air felt fresher, the wind died down, and the sky had just started to clear. The contrast between the storm’s chaos and the serene aftermath inspired me to capture that fleeting moment when nature’s power retreats, leaving behind a sense of renewal and quiet beauty.
